Defending Champions India were utterly dominant as they sailed past Japan with a 5-1 win at the Hero Asian Champions Trophy in Moqi, China on Monday. Continuing their winning ways after a 3-0 victory against hosts China, India secured the top spot on the points table.

Sukhjeet Singh opened the scoring in the 2nd minute, swiftly deflecting a cross pass from Sanjay. Just a minute later, Abhishek dribbled past multiple defenders to score, making it 2-0. Sanjay added to the tally with a splendid penalty corner conversion in the 17th minute, giving India a comfortable lead.

Despite Japan's efforts, including a 41st-minute field goal by Kazumasa Matsumoto, India maintained their dominance. Uttam Singh and Sukhjeet Singh added to the tally, finishing the match at 5-1. Hero of the Match, Abhishek, emphasized the team's cohesive effort and effective strategy.
