In an electrifying encounter at the Moqi Hockey Training Base in Hulunbuir, China, Korea and Pakistan fought to a thrilling 2-2 draw on Day Two of the Asian Champions Trophy on Monday. The match saw three goals scored within seconds of each other in the final minute, with Korea forcing Pakistan to settle for a disappointing tie.

A late surge by Hannan Shahid, who netted twice in the 60th minute to give Pakistan a 2-1 advantage, was undone by poor defending. Korea's Sunghyun Kim scored an equalizer just before the final whistle. Jiwang Hyun (16') and Sunghyun Kim (60') were the goal-scorers for Korea. Pakistan's attack, led by young striker Hannan Shahid and Ahmad Ajaz, created multiple opportunities but failed to convert them in the opening quarter.

Despite Pakistan controlling ball possession early on, Korea improved in the second quarter and found the net through Jiwang Hyun, assisted by Hyeseung Lee. Pakistan's frustration grew as they failed to score throughout the third quarter, despite creating numerous chances. The Korean defense remained solid with a tight man-to-man strategy.

The final quarter saw Pakistan intensify their efforts, making over 23 circle entries but failing to score. An appeal for a penalty stroke was denied in the 55th minute, adding to the pressure. Hannan's two dramatic goals in the 60th minute gave Pakistan a brief lead, only for it to be nullified by a late Korean strike. Hannan Shahid, named Man of the Match, expressed mixed feelings about the outcome and vowed to return stronger against Japan.
