Petroleum, Services, Railway, and FCI Advance to Semi-Finals in Thrilling Matches

Day 8 of the 4th Hockey India Senior Inter-Department National Championship saw the Petroleum Sports, Services Sports, Railway Sports, and Food Corporation of India teams advance to the Semi-Finals after winning their respective matches held at the Major Dhyanchand Hockey Stadium in Pimpri, Pune.

Day 8 of the 4th Hockey India Senior Inter-Department National Championship at the Major Dhyanchand Hockey Stadium, Pimpri, Pune, showcased intense competition as Petroleum Sports Promotion Board, Services Sports Control Board, Railway Sports Promotion Board, and Food Corporation of India secured spots in the Semi-Finals.

In a decisive first Quarter-Final, Petroleum Sports Promotion Board achieved a 6-2 victory over Steel Plant Sports Board. Talwinder Singh led the charge with a hat-trick, while Rosan Minz, Yousuf Affan, and Jagwant Singh added goals. Steel Plant Sports Board responded with efforts from Sem Munda and Abdul Qadir.

The second Quarter-Final featured a close contest, with Services Sports Control Board narrowly defeating Comptroller & Auditor General India 2-1, thanks to goals from Sukhdev and Pratap Shinde. Comptroller & Auditor General India's lone goal came from Manish Yadav.

Railway Sports Promotion Board triumphed over Sports Authority of India in the third Quarter-Final with a 3-2 win. Shivam Anand, Yuvraj Walmiki, and Joginder Singh scored for Railway, while Pankaj scored twice for Sports Authority of India.

Food Corporation of India completed a dramatic comeback against Punjab National Bank in the final Quarter-Final, winning 2-1. Despite Gursimran Singh's early lead for Punjab National Bank, late goals from Paramvir Singh and Boby Singh Dhami secured the victory for Food Corporation of India.
