Miami-Dade Police to Review Tyreek Hill's Detainment Before NFL Opener

The Miami-Dade Police Department is launching an investigation into the detainment of Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who was face down in handcuffs after a driving violation on Sunday, just before the NFL team's season-opening game.

Hill, recognized as a five-time All-Pro wideout, was released in time to compete in the Dolphins' home game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to police. Miami-Dade police director Stephanie V. Daniels stated an immediate review and examination of body camera footage is underway to understand what transpired.

In an interview with NFL Network, Hill's agent Drew Rosenhaus described the incident as "very upsetting," claiming unnecessary force was used. The Dolphins noted that several teammates witnessed the event and offered support, confirming Hill's arrival at the stadium before the game.
