Virat Kohli's advice on being consistent with his preparations has significantly boosted Anuj Rawat's performance in the Delhi Premier League, the East Delhi Riders' batter disclosed on Friday.
Rawat, who also plays alongside Kohli at Royal Challengers Bengaluru, has amassed 328 runs across eight matches.
In an exclusive interview with PTI Videos, Rawat shared, 'I asked him something about the game. He told me, no matter whatever the situation is in the game, just keep your preparations consistent. It helps you mentally. This advice has certainly helped me so far.'
During the inaugural season of the DPL, Rawat achieved the second highest opening partnership in T20 cricket with Sujal Singh, scoring 121 off 66 balls, including 11 sixes and 6 fours, for the Riders against Purani Dilli 6.
Rawat emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive dressing room environment, particularly as the domestic season kicks off in Delhi. He also noted the upcoming IPL mega auction, where he plans to showcase his refined skills to attract attention.
