Puneri Paltan Table Tennis has re-entered the race for the playoff spots with a crucial 9-6 victory over UTT 2024 newcomers, Jaipur Patriots. The match, held at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium on Sunday, saw the Paltan ascend from the bottom to the fourth position with 28 points.

The top four teams at the end of the league stage will advance to the playoffs. Despite the loss, Jaipur Patriots moved up to fifth place with 25 points. The contest was a gripping affair, keeping spectators on edge as the lead fluctuated consistently.

Standout performances came from Ankur Bhattacharjee, who clinched the Indian Player of the Tie by defeating Ronit Bhanja in a nail-biting 2-1 victory, and Natalia Bajor, named Foreign Player of the Tie, who sealed the decisive win in the final women's singles match.
