Jannik Sinner is keenly aware of the formidable challenge that Tommy Paul represents as the two prepare to face off in the fourth round of the U.S. Open. Paul, ranked 14th, has showcased his skills by winning the Dallas Open earlier this year and reaching the final in Delray Beach, in addition to making it to the semifinals at Indian Wells.

'He's a great mover. He has improved a lot over time. It's going to be a tough challenge,' Sinner said after his straightforward victory over Christopher O'Connell on Saturday. 'He plays some excellent tennis, especially in America, so it's going to be a tough match for me. But hopefully, I'm ready to compete at my best,' he added.

With top rivals Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic already out of the tournament, Sinner is now considered the favorite to claim his second Grand Slam title. The Italian credits his success to the effective partnership between his coaches, Darren Cahill and Simone Vagnozzi, emphasizing the complementary nature of their coaching styles. 'The movement, the physical aspect, and the serve—especially the second serve—have all improved under their guidance,' Sinner explained. 'It's rare to find two coaches who are different but work so well together. I'm fortunate to have this team pushing me forward.'
