Indian shooter Manish Narwal has qualified for the final of the men's 10m air pistol (SH1) competition, securing a fifth-place finish at the Paris Paralympics with a score of 565 on Friday.
At just 22 years old, Narwal has already made a name for himself, having won a gold medal in the mixed 50m pistol SH1 event at the Tokyo Paralympics three years ago. The young athlete from Faridabad has also accrued multiple medals, including gold, silver, and bronze, at various national and international tournaments.
However, it was not all good news for the Indian contingent as fellow shooter Rudransh Kahndelwal narrowly missed the cut for the final, finishing in ninth place with a total score of 561. The SH1 class in shooting allows athletes to hold their guns without assistance and shoot from either a standing or sitting position in a wheelchair or chair.
