Brentford Signs Promising Young Talent Gustavo Nunes

Brentford FC has bolstered its squad by signing 18-year-old forward Gustavo Nunes from Brazilian Serie A club Gremio, the Premier League team announced on Wednesday.

Nunes, who has inked a six-year contract including an option to extend for another two years, joined Gremio's youth academy in 2021 and debuted for the first team in February 2024. He has made 20 appearances this season, netting three goals and providing one assist.

Brentford coach Thomas Frank welcomed the new addition, highlighting Nunes' potential and ability to go past players one-on-one. 'He is direct and creative. Gustavo is a player we believe has a lot of potential that we need to maximize,' Frank said. 'Although he needs time to settle, this is a very exciting signing.'
