India's leading female golfers, Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar, failed to make the cut at the 2024 Women's Open after the initial two rounds at the Old Course at St. Andrews. Aditi, with scores of 76-76, and Diksha, with rounds of 77-76, missed the cut, which is expected to be at 4-over par. The final cut will be determined once the second round concludes.

Aditi was poised to make the cut at 4-over par after 14 holes but faltered with a triple bogey on the 15th, followed by additional bogeys on the 16th and 17th holes. She concluded her round at 8-over. Diksha's performance was compartmentalized into three sections, marking six pars in the first stretch, four bogeys in the middle, and six pars in the final section of her round, finishing at 9-over.

Meanwhile, World No. 1 Nelly Korda delivered a flawless 68, mirroring her bogey-free first-round performance. Korda, who secured her second Major at Chevron earlier this year and dominated the first half of the year with five consecutive titles, leads the tournament. She is three shots ahead of defending champion Lilia Vu and last year's runner-up Charley Hull. Olympic gold medallist Lydia Ko and other notable competitors are also in the mix, competing fiercely for the top positions.
