Indian golfer Avani Prashanth delivered an impressive performance in the LPGA Q-Series Pre-Qualifying Stage, shooting a fine three-under 69 to be placed Tied-24th after the first round. Among three Indian participants, Avani maintained her form, adding a one-under 71 in the second round at the Mission Hills – Arnold Palmer Course.

This performance places her Tied-24th, as the top-125 golfers and ties will make the cut after 54 holes for the fourth and final round. The top-80 from there will proceed to the LPGA Q School. The projected cut line for the top-125 is currently set at one-over.

The tournament sees only one other Indian currently on the LPGA, Aditi Ashok, with others like Diksha Dagar attempting to qualify. In the opening round, Avani started from the 10th, scoring two birdies and two bogeys, then followed by three consecutive birdies from the first to third holes on the front side of the Dinah Shore course. She scored five birdies against four bogeys for a 71 in the second round at the Arnold Palmer course. Meanwhile, fellow Indians Sneha Singh and Nikita Arjun are narrowly trailing behind the cut line.
