The Dutch Formula One Grand Prix's final practice was abruptly halted on Saturday due to a heavy crash involving Logan Sargeant's Williams, which subsequently caught fire. The American driver, however, emerged unscathed. According to Sargeant's radio communication, he lost control at turn three after dipping a wheel on the wet grass, causing him to spin into the barriers. The car ended up wrecked in the middle of the track at Zandvoort circuit.

The 23-year-old driver, who has yet to score a point this season and has been confirmed to lose his seat in 2025, was taken to the medical center for precautionary checks. Marshals extinguished the flames, but the car incurred substantial damage. With qualifying set for 1500 local time, the Williams team faces an uphill battle to get the car ready in time.

The session was red-flagged after 14 minutes, with Dutch fans still eagerly waiting to see championship leader Max Verstappen run a lap. Verstappen later overtook a McLaren and a Mercedes in the pitlane and was warned for non-compliance with race director's instructions. Pierre Gasly of Alpine recorded the fastest lap in the interrupted session, ahead of Haas' Kevin Magnussen and Sauber's Valtteri Bottas.

Williams' team principal, James Vowles, expressed concerns about the damage, stating significant time and effort were spent on recent upgrades. He indicated the possibility of a chassis change being necessary due to the extensive damage.
