Denmark's Joachim Andersen has made a triumphant return to Fulham, signing a five-year contract after departing Premier League competitor Crystal Palace. The center back, who became a fan favorite during his loan period with Fulham in the 2020-21 season, joins for a reported fee of 30 million pounds ($40 million).
Andersen expressed his excitement, stating, "It's really nice to be here. Feels a little bit like coming home, so it's a good feeling."
His signing aims to strengthen Fulham's defense after losing defenders Tosin Adarabioyo and Tim Ream on free transfers. Andersen is the second central defender to join Fulham this window, following Jorge Cuenca from Villarreal, while Crystal Palace faces challenges in retaining fellow center half Marc Guehi amid interest from Newcastle.
