India's Ronak Dahiya secured a bronze medal in the 110kg Greco-Roman category at the U17 World Wrestling Championship. He defeated Turkey's Emrullah Capkan 6-1 in the bronze medal play-off, marking India's first medal in the championship.

Despite ranking second in the world for his age-group weight category, Dahiya lost to Hungary's Zoltan Czako in the semi-final. The gold medal was claimed by Ukraine's Ivan Yankovskyi, who triumphed over Czako with a score of 13-4.

India may still clinch another medal in the 51kg repechage if Sainath Pardhi wins his upcoming bouts. Pardhi will first face Dominic Michael Munaretto from the United States, and if victorious, will contend for bronze against either Kazakhstan's Mussan Yerassyl or Iran's Abolfazl Mehrdad Karamiegaei.
