Depay Excluded from Dutch Preliminary Squad in Nations League Shake-Up

Dutch coach Ronald Koeman has surprisingly excluded Memphis Depay from a preliminary squad named for the Netherlands' first two Nations League matches next month. The list, featuring 35 players, will be cut down in two weeks.

Making their first appearances are Crysencio Summerville from West Ham United and Jan Paul van Hecke from Brighton & Hove Albion. Also among the call-ups is 18-year-old defender Jorrel Hato from Ajax Amsterdam.

Depay, who recently left Atletico Madrid, has yet to secure a new club. Other notable absentees include Georginio Wijnaldum and Daley Blind, who announced his retirement earlier this week. Frenkie de Jong remains out due to an ankle injury.
