Hockey India Junior Championship: Roundglass Punjab & Odisha Naval Dominate

The Roundglass Punjab and Odisha Naval Tata Hockey teams triumphed in the Hockey India Junior Men & Women Academy Championship. Odisha Naval Tata decimated Jai Bharat Hockey Academy 15-0, and Roundglass Punjab hammered Jai Bharat Academy 22-0. Several players, including Chetna Rani Das and Arjandeep Singh, showcased stellar performances.

The Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy and Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High-Performance Centre achieved significant victories in the Hockey India Junior Men & Women Academy Championship on Friday.

In the opening women's match, Odisha Naval Tata dominated Jai Bharat Hockey Academy with an astonishing 15-0 win, fueled by Chetna Rani Das's seven goals.

Following this, a 4-4 draw between Ghumanhera Riser's Academy and Raja Kiran Hockey Academy set the stage for intense competition.

In the men's category, Roundglass Punjab overwhelmed Jai Bharat Academy 22-0, with notable contributions from Arjandeep Singh and Inderjit Singh, both scoring four goals each.

SGPC Hockey Academy secured a narrow 1-0 victory over SAIL Hockey Academy, thanks to Sukhdev Singh's last-minute goal in the 60th minute.

Ashwini Sports Academy emerged victorious against Raja Kiran Academy 6-4, driven by Imran Khan's decisive hat-trick.

Another highlight was HAR Hockey Academy's 14-1 thrashing of Salute Hockey Academy, where Sachin netted seven and Himanshu five goals.

Odisha Naval Tata continued their dominance with an 11-0 win over Republican Sports Club, courtesy of hat-tricks from Ajay Xalxo and Yojin Minz.

The final match of the day saw Ghumanhera Riser's Academy clinch a 3-1 victory over Ritu Rani Hockey Academy, with goals from Yuvraj Singh, Nishant, and Kapil.
