Sri Lankan cricketer Praveen Jayawickrama faces three charges under the ICC anti-corruption code, including failing to promptly report match-fixing approaches.

Jayawickrama, a 25-year-old left-arm spinner, purportedly neglected to inform the ICC's Anti-Corruption Unit about attempts to fix both international matches and Lanka Premier League games in 2021.

The ICC noted that Jayawickrama allegedly deleted incriminating messages. He has 14 days to respond, starting from August 6. Charges include failure to report corrupt approaches and obstructing investigations by deleting relevant communications.
