Heartbreak for India: Germany Ends 44-Year Olympic Dream

India's dream of entering the Olympic final after 44 years was shattered as Germany defeated them 2-3 in the men's hockey semifinal at the Paris Olympics on Tuesday.
India's Skipper Harmanpreet Singh and Sukhjeet Singh scored crucial goals in the 7th and 36th minutes, respectively. However, Germany's Gonzalo Peillat, Christopher Ruhr, and Marco Miltkau struck back with goals at the 18th, 27th, and 54th minutes.
Following this loss, India will face Spain in the bronze medal match, while Germany advances to the final against the Netherlands.
