In preparation for the upcoming SAFF U17 Championship and AFC U17 Asian Cup Qualifiers, the Indian U17 men's team has been in an intensive training camp in Srinagar for the past two weeks. Under head coach Ishfaq Ahmed, the Blue Colts are focused on building fitness and tactics for optimal performance.

Currently, 32 players are part of the camp, with 16 having prior international experience from last year's SAFF U16 Championship. Emphasizing fitness in the camp's initial stages, Ishfaq aims to transition to tactical training and competitive matches soon. 'Fitness is crucial for our young, technically smart players,' he noted.

Following the SAFF U17 Championship in Bhutan this September, the team will swiftly move on to the AFC U17 Asian Cup Qualifiers in Thailand. Competing against regional teams like Brunei Darussalam, Turkmenistan, and Thailand, the Blue Colts are preparing rigorously. Scouting for the camp was based on performances in the AIFF U17 Youth League, ensuring a competitive selection process.
