India's initial medal hope comes on July 27 with the mixed team air rifle matches at the National Shooting Centre in Chateauroux, featuring teams Sandeep Singh/Elavenil Valarivan and Arjun Babuta/Ramita Jindal.

Standouts include Neeraj Chopra, who will compete in the javelin throw qualifiers on August 6, and PV Sindhu aiming for a third Olympic medal in badminton from July 27. Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu will compete on August 7 in the 49 kg category, while boxers Lovlina Borgohain and Nikhat Zareen are set for action from July 27.
