In his first match since May, Spanish tennis legend Rafael Nadal brushed off the rust to claim victory against Leo Borg at the Nordea Open. Nadal, 38, defeated the 21-year-old son of tennis icon Bjorn Borg with a score of 6-3, 6-4 in straight sets.

Early moments saw Nadal making uncharacteristic errors, but he soon found his rhythm, excelling in wet conditions to pin Borg into his backhand corner. 'Playing against the son of one of our sport's biggest legends is a huge honor,' Nadal stated to the ATP website, commending Borg's potential.

Notably, this is Nadal's first Nordea Open appearance since his 2005 triumph. He remained cautious with his serves and revealed the crowd's energy played a crucial role in his return. Nadal, playing his sixth tournament of the season, will next face fifth seed Cameron Norrie, with a favorable 4-1 head-to-head record.
