Vizag Warriors Clinch APL 2024 Title with Dominant Victory

The Vizag Warriors have been crowned champions of the Andhra Premier League (APL) 2024 following an exceptional final match against the Uttarandhra Lions at the ACA-VDCA International Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.

The final showdown on July 13, 2024, saw the Vizag Warriors set a formidable target of 190 runs. Despite the Uttarandhra Lions' determination, they were bowled out for 102 runs in 16.3 overs, granting the Vizag Warriors a resounding 87-run victory.

Ashwin Hebbar stood out with an impressive 91 runs off 56 balls, supported by Munish Varma who contributed 37 runs from 27 balls. On the bowling side, P Manikanta Gangadhar excelled with figures of 3/17, while K. Sudarshan and Jagarlapudi Ram took two wickets each. Ashwin Hebbar was also awarded the Player of the Match, the Orange Cap, and the Player of the Tournament accolade for his stellar performance throughout the league.
