In anticipation of the EURO 2024 final match, England captain Harry Kane has highlighted Lamine Yamal as 'one of the most difficult players' in the upcoming clash. England is set to face Spain at Berlin's Olympiastadion on Sunday, in a highly-anticipated showdown.

Speaking to the press, Kane extended birthday wishes to Yamal, hailing his fearlessness and enjoyment on the field. 'I want to wish him a happy birthday. He's a fantastic player. At 17 years old, to do this in a tournament like this says a lot about him. You can see that he plays without fear, with freedom, enjoying himself... He's going to be one of the most difficult players in the match. I want to congratulate him on what he's done so far,' Kane said, as reported by Goal.com.

Spain secured their place in the final by defeating France 2-1 in the semi-finals, while England overcame the Netherlands 1-2, with Ollie Watkins scoring the decisive goal in the final moments. Gareth Southgate's squad is poised to make history, marking the first time the Three Lions contest a major tournament final on foreign soil, and brings them a step closer to ending a 58-year major tournament title drought. In their last EURO appearance in 2020, England lost to Italy in the final on penalties. The semi-final against the Netherlands saw an early goal from Xavi Simons before England's Harry Kane equalized, and Watkins secured the win in the dying moments.
