The 2024 Junior Pan American Championships culminated today with Argentina's men and women emerging victorious. The men's team bested Canada, while the women's overcame the USA, clinching gold in both divisions.

At the expanded 24-team FIH Hockey Junior World Cup 2025, there were three slots available for men's teams and four for women's from PanAm. Canada and Chile secured the silver and bronze medals in the men's competition, joining gold medallists Argentina in qualifying for the World Cup. In the women's segment, the USA claimed silver, Chile took bronze, and Uruguay finished fourth, all earning qualification alongside Argentina.

The men's teams from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Mexico, and the United States first competed in a round-robin stage, with the top four advancing to the semi-finals. Undefeated Argentina topped the pool, followed by Canada, Chile, and the USA. In the semi-finals, Argentina triumphed over the USA with a 3-0 win, while Canada narrowly defeated Chile 3-2. Chile then bested the USA in the bronze medal match, joining Argentina and Canada in World Cup qualification. The final saw Argentina dominate Canada 10-0, with seven players scoring, securing their gold medal.

Meanwhile, in the women's competition, Argentina, Canada, Chile, Mexico, the USA, and Uruguay also played in a round-robin format, with Argentina remaining undefeated. The semi-finals saw Argentina overpower Uruguay 5-0, and the USA edged past Chile in a shootout after a 1-1 draw. Chile claimed the bronze by defeating Uruguay 1-0.

In the gold medal match, Argentina scored two quick goals but the USA responded with one before halftime. Despite a tense second half, Argentina added a third goal in the final quarter, securing a 3-1 victory and another gold medal.
