Canada head coach Jesse Marsch has explicitly stated his disinterest in the vacant US men's national team managerial position. USMNT head coach Gregg Berhalter was dismissed after the team's early exit from the Copa America 2024.

The US team's elimination came after losses to Uruguay and Panama. Marsch, who has successfully guided Canada to a third-place match in the same tournament, was previously considered a candidate for the US job.

Marsch affirmed his dedication to Canada, saying he has no intentions of taking up the US role. 'I'm not leaving this job,' Marsch said, adding he is extremely satisfied with his current responsibilities and collaboration with Canadian team leaders. He emphasized that a 'big shift' would have to occur for him to reconsider.

Following Berhalter's exit, he acknowledged the team's disappointing Copa America performance and accepted full responsibility, noting the focus was always on preparing for the 2026 World Cup. Sporting Director Matt Crocker extended his gratitude towards Berhalter's contributions and emphasized the search for a new managerial leader to guide USMNT into a successful future.

Canada is set to face Uruguay for a third-place finish in the Copa America 2024 on Saturday.
