Ace Indian cueist Pankaj Advani is set to aim for a hat-trick of titles in the Asian Billiards Championships starting on Tuesday.

The four-day event will feature top talent from across Asia, including Indian competitors Sourav Kothari and Dhruv Sitwala.

Advani, with nine Asian billiards title victories since 2005, has also excelled in snooker, claiming multiple Asian titles in recent years.

"While I've enjoyed success, I try to stay grounded and focused, understanding the unpredictable nature of sport," stated Advani.

The championship, held in Saudi Arabia for the first time, promises fierce competition from countries like Thailand, Myanmar, and Singapore, according to Advani.

The annual tournament features the 100-points format, which Advani terms 'tricky and exhilarating,' leaving no room for complacency.

This year marks a significant milestone for Advani, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the World Billiards Museum in China.

"Being inducted is a profound honour. Representing India on the global stage fills me with immense pride and dedication to bringing more accolades to our country," he added.
