Heavy Rain Provides Relief from Punjab's Intense Heat
Morning showers across Punjab brought much-needed relief from the intense heat that had persisted in the region. With significant rainfall recorded, temperatures saw a notable decline from their previous highs, offering some respite.

Several regions across Punjab experienced heavy rain on Saturday morning, providing a break from the intense heat that had blanketed the area in recent days.
The downpour included notable reports from Chandigarh, Mohali, Kharar, Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Gurdaspur, Rupnagar, and SBS Nagar. In particular, Pathankot experienced 18 mm of rainfall, while moderate showers were also measured in places like SBS Nagar and Rupnagar, receiving 1.5 mm and 2.5 mm respectively.
According to the meteorological department, Chandigarh recorded 6.4 mm of rain, bringing its minimum temperature down to 18 degrees Celsius, significantly cooler than the usual seasonal average.
