Delhi achieved its highest tally of 'good to moderate' air quality days in 2024, surpassing all years since 2018, with the exception of the pandemic-affected 2020, reports the central pollution watchdog, CAQM.

According to CAQM data, Delhi recorded 209 'good to moderate' days in 2024 as opposed to 159 in 2018 and other varying numbers in subsequent years, showcasing a gradual improvement in air quality.

The city also witnessed a significant decrease in farm fires, with numbers falling to 12,750 in Punjab, Haryana, and nearby regions, contributing to better air conditions.
