A major gas leak incident at the Ajmera gas plant in Vishwakarma industrial area sparked widespread panic, officials reported. The leak, which fortunately resulted in no casualties, was due to a broken valve on a CO2 gas storage tanker.

According to Assistant Fire Officer Bhanwar Singh Hada, the emergency was swiftly managed by the fire brigade, though the gas leakage initially caused zero visibility conditions in the area. Residents were reassured as the fire department brought the situation under control.

SHO Rajendra Sharma revealed that the tanker's leak occurred while gas refilling was in progress. A police team, in coordination with the fire brigade, acted promptly to close the main valve, preventing further gas escape and ensuring safety.
