The Haryana government, led by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, is drafting a scheme to offer 100-square-yard plots to low-income families, addressing housing needs for 2 lakh individuals. The announcement followed a strategic meeting where officials laid out plans for the Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojna.
J Ganesan, Director General of the Housing for All Department, noted that the scheme aims to uplift the living conditions of residents without homes. Eligible applicants will receive plots equipped with essential infrastructure, with construction support under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural).
Additionally, government initiatives include granting 6,618 flats for the EWS category. Alongside Development and Panchayat Minister Krishan Lal Panwar and Urban Local Bodies Minister Vipul Goel, the chief minister emphasized that facilities like roads, electricity, and clean water will accompany the allocated plots.
