Kashmir Experiences First Snowfall, Welcoming Winter
Kashmir witnessed its first snowfall of the season in higher reaches, with Affarwat and Sadhna Top receiving light snow. The plains, including Srinagar, were hit by rains, ending a prolonged dry spell. The precipitation marked a significant drop in temperatures as winter sets in across the region.

On Monday, higher altitudes in Kashmir saw the season's initial snowfall, while the plains were soaked by rain, officially ending a month-long dry period, according to officials.
Light snowfall was observed in the Affarwat region of Baramulla district and Sadhna Top in Kupwara district.
Additionally, reports indicated snow in other uninhabited mountainous sections of Kashmir. In the afternoon, Srinagar and other valley plains experienced rainfall, leading to a noticeable drop in daytime temperatures and heralding the approach of winter.
