Delhi's mercury dipped to its lowest of the season at 33.1 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, a figure slightly above the normal as smog enveloped the city for much of the day. The city's second-highest temperature of 33.6 degrees Celsius was recorded on October 12.
Throughout October, daytime temperatures have consistently ranged between 35 and 36 degrees Celsius, with no significant drop anticipated in the near future. Mahesh Palawat, a forecaster from Skymet Weather Services, noted that the lack of significant weather disruptions, such as cloud cover or western disturbances, is contributing to the stagnant temperatures.
With humidity levels between 55 to 83 percent, the weather department expects a clear sky on Thursday, forecasting similar maximum and minimum temperatures at 33 and 19 degrees Celsius respectively. A potential western disturbance near October 25 or 26 might bring some relief with expected rainfall or snowfall in higher altitudes.
