Additional punitive measures include red entries in revenue records for about 400 farmers, complicating land sale and mortgage opportunities. Special DGP (Law and Order) Arpit Shukla said that the campaign against stubble burning involves significant educational outreach and legal enforcement.
Special DGP Shukla confirmed that 1,393 farm fires were detected via satellite. The initiative follows directives from higher authorities, and aims at reducing stubble burning cases to null, while police teams, together with civil administration, remain vigilant.
