A tragic accident unfolded in Chhattisgarh's Durg district on Monday morning, as a couple and their 12-year-old daughter lost their lives in a fatal collision with a cement-laden truck. The family's toddler was seriously injured in the crash.
The incident happened near Dhaur village on the Kachandur-Dhaur road as the family was returning home from a function. The speeding truck hit their motorcycle, killing Rajesh Sahu, his wife Ritu, and their elder daughter instantly, while their two-year-old daughter was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The truck driver fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle. In response, local residents staged a protest by blocking the road, prompting police efforts to calm the situation and initiate an investigation into the causes of the accident.
