In an unfortunate incident in Palghar district of Maharashtra, three buffaloes were electrocuted after coming in contact with a live wire. The disaster struck in Haloli village during grazing, leaving the farmer with a loss valued at around Rs 2 lakh, officials reported on Monday.

The mishap happened amid heavy rains that have caused substantial damage to several electricity poles and wires across the district. According to Vivekanand Kadam, a district disaster management official, immediate efforts are underway to address the situation.

The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) stated, 'We are already aware of the rains' impact and are committed to repairing the damaged infrastructures as swiftly as possible to prevent further incidents.'
