Wolf Attacks Terrorize Villages in Bahraich: Operation Bhediya Intensifies

In another late-night wolf attack, a 50-year-old woman was seriously injured at her home in Kowinpura village, Mahsi Tehsil, Bahraich. Family members reported the attack on Thursday.
The woman, Pushpa Devi, was hospitalized and is undergoing treatment. The incident occurred around 10:30 pm Wednesday, according to Bahraich Divisional Forest Officer Ajit Pratap Singh. Devi's son-in-law, Dinesh, revealed that a child left the door open, allowing the wolf to enter and attack her.
Villagers arrived, causing the wolf to flee into a sugarcane field. Rescue teams are working to capture the wolf, while public awareness programs instruct villagers to stay indoors. Other recent attacks include two young girls injured in separate incidents. Operation Bhediya aims to capture the wolves terrorizing 50 villages, with financial aid provided to victims' families.
