Mystery Surrounds Death of 'Russian Spy' Whale Hvaldimir

A beluga whale discovered with a harness strapped around its neck in Norwegian waters five years ago, known as Hvaldimir, has been found dead.

According to police, a stick lodged in its mouth caused the death, not human activity. Hvaldimir's body was found by a father and son while fishing in southern Norway.

The whale's name is a combination of the Norwegian word for whale and Russian President Vladimir Putin's first name.
