Mystery Surrounding Death of 'Russian Spy' Whale Hvaldimir Finally Solved
Norwegian police have concluded that the death of Hvaldimir, the 'Russian spy' beluga whale, was not due to human activity. Discovered with a harness five years ago, Hvaldimir was found dead with a stick in its mouth. The whale was found floating in southern Norway by a fisherman and his son.
Norwegian police have determined that human activity did not contribute to the death of Hvaldimir, the beluga whale known as the 'Russian spy'.
Hvaldimir, who garnered international attention after being found with a harness in Norwegian waters five years ago, was discovered dead on August 31.
The whale was found with a stick stuck in its mouth, and was spotted by a father and son fishing in southern Norway.
