The Himachal Pradesh Urban Development Authority (HIMUDA) held its 54th board meeting on Monday, chaired by Town and Country Planning Minister Rajesh Dharmani. Key developmental projects were approved during the session.
Significant initiatives include the installation of a drinking water supply line and a 15 lakh litre capacity water tank in Mountain City Jathiya Devi. Plans for multiple housing units in Bilaspur, Shimla, and Solan were also sanctioned. Additionally, a standard operating procedure (SOP) for land purchases was established.
Dharmani emphasized the importance of timely and effective implementation of these projects, urging officials to adopt innovative ideas and work with specialists to enhance outcomes. The board also reviewed ongoing and proposed projects in various locations, including a zoo in Bankhandi and a Command and Control Centre in Dharamshala.
