Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday inaugurated the first phase of the ambitious Rs 23,251.66 crore Yettinahole Integrated Drinking Water Project in Hebbanahalli, Sakleshapur taluk.

He assured the public of the project's completion within his government's term and highlighted that the second phase is earmarked for completion by 2026-27, ensuring a reliable water supply to districts including Kolar, Chikkaballapur, and Bengaluru Rural.

Siddaramaiah stressed that although the project was conceptualized by the previous BJP administration, his government managed the groundbreaking ceremony, fund release, and tender processes. Reaffirming the project's timely completion, he noted that 24.01 TMC of water would be distributed across seven districts, addressing critical drinking water and irrigation needs.
