Himachal Pradesh Housing and Urban Development Authority (HIMUDA) will construct a state-of-the-art multipurpose building in Vikasnagar, according to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.

During a meeting with senior HIMUDA officers, Sukhu revealed that the modern complex will span a 10-bigha plot at an estimated cost of Rs 150 crore. The facility will include government offices, a shopping complex, a hotel, and two floors designated for parking. The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for January 1, 2025, and the project is expected to be completed within 18 months.

The building will showcase the rich heritage and culture of Himachal Pradesh and will be eco-friendly, incorporating solar passive features. Sukhu also directed officials to expedite the preparation of the preliminary Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the project.
