Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd., known for innovative lighting solutions, has completed a landmark LED street lighting project on Bengaluru's Satellite Town Ring Road (STRR). Partnering with Shankaranarayana Construction Pvt. Ltd. (SNC) for the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) - NH648, this initiative significantly enhances road safety on critical national highways.
The 280-kilometer STRR, connecting 12 major towns, aims to mitigate traffic congestion and foster economic growth in Bengaluru. As NHAI's leading OEM lighting solution provider, Crompton played a crucial role in illuminating a 42 km stretch between Dobaspete - Doddaballapur with advanced LED streetlights, ensuring the project's success.
Crompton's deployment of over 2,000 high-efficiency streetlights, coupled with 1,300 poles, has enhanced road safety and reduced electricity consumption by 50% compared to traditional lighting. This eco-friendly project further solidifies Crompton's position as a leader in national highway lighting solutions.
