For the second consecutive day, torrential rains hit Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, resulting in at least 10 more fatalities, flooding, and waterlogging across several areas, and causing significant disruptions to road and rail traffic.

The South Central Railway network reported the cancellation of 99 trains, partial cancellation of four, and diversion of 54 due to waterlogging over tracks, according to an official statement.

National and state disaster response forces evacuated thousands to relief camps as rivers in both states were in spate. Union Home Minister Amit Shah assured Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Chief Ministers of all possible central government assistance in managing the crisis.
