INDORE, India— EKI Energy Services has announced a significant step in its ongoing mission to combat climate change. The company revealed on Wednesday that it received a Letter of Authorization (LOA) from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Climate Change (MNRCC) of Malawi to distribute an additional 25,000 low-emission cookstoves across the African nation.

The new distribution, which will occur by March 2025, forms part of the company's effort to reduce carbon emissions under Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement. The article outlines rules for cooperation between countries to implement climate change mitigation projects.

The project is projected to help in the reduction of 1.4 million tonnes of carbon emissions, aligning with EKI's broader commitment to global environmental health. Manish Dabkara, Chairman and Managing Director of EKI Energy Services, stated, 'Clean cooking is an imperative, to which everyone in the world should have an uninterrupted and unconditional access...It also serves environmental health by being a part of climate action.'
