Two-Storey House Collapse in Delhi’s Model Town Triggers Major Rescue Operation
A two-storey house in Delhi’s Model Town collapsed during heavy rains, trapping several people under the rubble. Rescue operations are currently underway with the assistance of fire and police officials. Three people have been rescued so far, with two in critical condition, while others are still feared trapped.

A two-storey house collapsed in northwest Delhi's Model Town area during heavy afternoon rain, triggering an extensive rescue operation, officials reported. Several people are feared trapped under the rubble.
The incident occurred in Mahendru Enclave where the old house, which was under repair, crumbled around 2.45 pm. Emergency services, including three fire tenders, were dispatched to the scene, according to the Delhi Fire Service.
Assisted by local police and specialized rescue teams, three individuals have been extricated from the rubble and transported to a nearby hospital. Two of those rescued are in critical condition, an official confirmed. Rescue efforts are ongoing as more people are believed to be trapped.
