In the early hours of Tuesday, a massive fire erupted in four tent godowns in Jaunapur, South Delhi, leading to the destruction of four vintage cars and wedding decorations worth crores of rupees.

No casualties were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

A Delhi Fire Services (DFS) official stated that they received a call about the fire at 1.56 am and dispatched 10 fire tenders to the scene. Firefighters are currently conducting cooling operations.

The vintage cars, parked adjacent to the godowns, were typically used in weddings. Amrit Pal Singh, the owner of two of the godowns, reported that all electric equipment had been switched off before the fire occurred. He estimates the damage to be approximately Rs 2.5 crore.

Ram Tirath, a godown worker, quickly alerted the fire department and the police upon discovering the blaze.
