Kota City to Get New Airport: A Boon for Tourism, Education, and Business
A new airport will be constructed in Kota city, Rajasthan, to boost tourism, education, and business. An agreement was signed between Airports Authority of India (AAI), Urban Development Department, and Civil Aviation Department. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma highlighted the benefits of the new airport and urged swift action on related projects.

A new airport will be constructed in Kota city, Rajasthan, with the aim of boosting tourism, education, and business activities.
According to an official statement, an agreement to this effect was signed on Friday between the Airports Authority of India (AAI), Urban Development Department, and Civil Aviation Department in the presence of Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma.
Sharma stated that the state government would provide land free of cost for the airport construction, while the AAI would be responsible for the construction, development, and operation of the airport. He also directed officials to prepare a roadmap for planned development around the proposed airport.
AAI Chairman Sanjeev Kumar mentioned that a detailed project report (DPR) is being prepared and tenders will be invited thereafter. Additionally, the chief minister urged rapid commencement of work on a new state terminal at Jaipur airport and other related projects in Udaipur and Barmer.
