Israel Intensifies Strikes on Gaza Amid Renewed Ceasefire Talks
Israel has ramped up strikes on the Gaza Strip, targeting Hamas leaders and causing significant civilian casualties. The offensive follows heightened military actions, including attacks on densely populated areas and camps. Despite the violence, talks for a ceasefire continue, with both sides appearing committed to negotiations.
Israel intensified its strikes on the Gaza Strip on Monday, aiming to exert more pressure on Hamas following a deadly weekend attack that targeted the militant group's leadership. The strike killed scores of Palestinians seeking shelter in a makeshift camp.
Two days after the assault turned a crowded area of Mawasi into a devastated landscape, displaced survivors struggled to find refuge. 'Where to go is what everybody asks, and no one has the answer,' said Aya Mohammad, 30, who survived the attack.
Despite the violence, ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas have not been abandoned, with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken urging both sides to reduce civilian casualties while continuing negotiations.
