Monsoon Hits Madhya Pradesh: Late Arrival Brings Hope for Ample Rainfall

The much-anticipated south-west monsoon finally made its presence felt in Madhya Pradesh after a delay of three days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Initially entering through Balaghat district, the monsoon brought rains to several eastern districts, including Pandhurna, Seoni, Mandla, Dindori, and Anuppur, IMD Bhopal Centre's forecast in-charge Divya Surendran told PTI.

The rain-bearing system is expected to envelop Bhopal within the next 48 hours. Despite the delay, the state is likely to see above-normal rainfall this season, surpassing its average of 949 mm, officials said.
