SpaceX is gearing up to launch 20 Starlink satellites, including 13 with Direct to Cell capabilities, to low-Earth orbit on Tuesday, May 14, from Space Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The liftoff is scheduled for 9:29 a.m. PT, with additional launch windows extending until 1:29 p.m. PT, and further opportunities available on Wednesday, May 15, starting at 9:06 a.m. PT.

For the unversed, Starlink - the world's largest satellite constellation in the low Earth orbit - delivers high-speed, low-latency internet across the globe. The constellation's low-Earth orbit positioning ensures low latency and high-speed connections, a significant improvement over traditional satellite internet services. Starlink satellites with Direct to Cell capabilities enable ubiquitous access to texting, calling, and browsing everywhere, whether you are on land, lakes, or coastal waters.

This Starlink mission marks the 18th flight for the Falcon 9 first stage booster. This particular booster has an illustrious history, having previously facilitated a range of missions including the Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich, DART, Transporter-7, and several other Starlink deployments. Following stage separation, the first stage will land on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship, which will be stationed in the Pacific Ocean.
